From Beto’s Restaurant in San Antonio, Texas. I think they mean to keep kids from being hurt if one of the cement pieces were to topple over, but I still find the sign amusing.
I’m doing some research on old botanical locations, and I have an important record that was collected at Comanche Springs, later renamned Von Mesebach’s farm. I read that this was on one of the heads of Salado Creek.
Since you have done some research on the history off the Leon Springs area, have you come across any references with location information for Von Meusebach’s Farm?
Thanks for your help,

BTW, interesting blog, thanks for sharing.
Cullen, I’d suggest that you track down local historian Marlene Richardson. I mentioned her in a newsletter that I drafted for the Leon Springs Farmers Market last year.
