Launched in 2008, Red, White & Grew is dedicated to “promoting the victory garden revival and other simple, earth-friendly endeavors as bipartisan, patriotic acts in an age of uncertainty.” You can read more at redwhiteandgrew.com.
The project’s mission is:
- To chronicle and promote the maturation of the grassroots victory garden revival;
- To create a clearinghouse of viable strategies and accessible resources from which others are inspired to take action addressing essential sustainability issues;
- To preserve and promote our nation’s foodways with a special emphasis on small-scale, homegrown efforts in America’s outlying regions.
Red, White & Grew has received regional and national press attention from organizations such as the San Antonio Express-News, CNN’s Your Money, CNN.com, and Hobby Farm Home magazine.
