Pamela Price is a San Antonio-based freelance writer who specializes in cultural reporting and lifestyle content.

As she notes on her MySA.com “City Brights” blog, Pamela’s “favorite topics include sustainability issues and grassroots civic action with a dash of Texas regionalism.” Hence, her two blogs–Dig for Texas and Red, White & Grew–devoted to home gardens and “green living.”

The former managing editor of Country Roads Magazine and the recipient of an award of excellence from Baton Rouge’s Women In Media, Pamela has written for several print and online publications. Recently, she served as a contributing editor for Country Lifestyle.

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with degrees in history and art history, Pamela has a long-standing commitment to social entrepreneurship and the arts. In the mid-1990s, she founded UT Austin’s innovative, award-winning Fine Arts Career Services. The former president of Baton Rouge’ s Forum 35, Pamela has served on other non-profit boards, worked as a community outreach coordinator, and was named one of The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report’s Top 4o Under 40.
